YOURI CORTAT
Youri Cortat obtained his Bachelor in Chemistry at the University of Fribourg in 2018. He entered the Zobi group in 2020 for his Master thesis, which he finalized in 2021. The same year, he started his PhD in the same group, focusing on the discovery of new antibiotics based on the rhenium(I) tricarbonyl scaffold. In particular, the goal of this research project consists in the computer-aided design of novel complexes bearing medically relevant ligands for the inhibition of peptidoglycan biosynthesis.
